Favorito KG

(Favorito AP x Dichosa AP)

The oldest colt of Favorito de la Parra, Favorito KG, born in 1998, was black bay and stood 16.3h. Favorito KG combined the bloodlines of Paco Lazo (from his sire) and Escalera (from his dam.) In Spain, this bloodline combination is known for producing excellent horses for competitive sports.

Favorito KG's straight profile and huge bone came from his maternal grandsire, the black Andalusian stallion Dejado. Dejado was a favorite subject of the photographer and author, Robert Vavra, and is featured in several of Vavra's books.

At the 2005 Eastern Regional Show, Favorito KG was the Reserve Champion Senior Spanish Stallion. The Spanish judge was particularly pleased with his gaits. Favorito KG was shown in dressage in Florida during the 2004 winter season. Although Favorito KG did well in dressage and was scored highly for gaits and impulsion, he seemed to have an aptitude for jumping. He had a clean round at a local show after not having jumped a full course in 5 months.

Favorito KG proved to be a very prepotent sire producing offspring with his movement, bone, beauty, height, color and sweet temperament.

Favorito de la Parra

(Favorito XX x Lebrijana XI (x Poseido V))

Imported Pure Paco Lazo stallion, Favorito was half brother to the 1992 National Champion Stallion of Spain, Favorito XXX.

The famous Francisco Lazo Diaz of Seville, Spain bred Favorito de la Parra/Favorito XLVIII. “Paco” Lazo (as he was known) bred PREs for their functionality. Many horses carrying his brand can be seen in the pedigrees of some of the top PRE performance horses from Spain.

Like his famous relatives, Favorito de la Parra is also a champion. Favorito proved himself on the tough Florida Winter USDF circuit. Our multiple champion competed as high as fourth level in the USDF, as well as being the IALHA National Champion 3rd level in 1999.

Favorito de la Parra/XLVIII accomplishments include:

1998
Open Competition High Point Award for IALHA
USDF Top 10% Overall 2nd Level
USDF Reserve at 2nd Level All Breed Awards

1999
IALHA National Champion 3rd Level
USDF Top 12% Overall 3rd Level

Favorito de la Parra/XLVIII produced offspring competitive in many disciplines – dressage, jumping, driving and eventing. Favorito proved to be one of the more prepotent PRE Andalusian sires in the United States. He consistently stamped his offspring with his calm temperament, substantial bone, incredible feet, and athletic ability. In turn, Favorito de la Parra sons and daughters, pass these qualities to their offspring.

Majorio II

Our foundation stallion, Majorio II, passed away in July 2005. His bloodlines are available through his sons Arturo KG and Majo KG.

Majorio was descended from spectacular performance bloodlines. His grandsire, the famous Legionario II, was a Spanish champion and a Breyer horse model. His dam was the daughter of the incredible Palais/Calhandra, a bullfighting mare - safely carrying the matador within inches of the bull's horns - always maneuvering out of the way in the nick of time.
