THE MARES OF AVALON FARMS

As important as our stallions, our broodmares are selected for movement, temperament and conformation.

Breeding proven stallions to mares with athletic ability, enables Avalon Farms to produce purebred Andalusians suitable for open competition in any sport horse discipline.

DICHOSA DE LA PARRA AP
(Dejado x Caprichosa)

Black bay mare sired by Dejado, considered by Robert Vavra to have been one of the ten most beautiful horses in the world.

Dichosa was bred by the Parra family of San Antonio, TX.

Dichosa has massive bone and substance like her sire. She has a huge powerful and straight trot she passes on to all of her offspring. Dichosa has a quiet disposition and is gentle with her handlers. She is also an excellent mother. Dichosa is our best broodmare and all her offspring are exceptional.

ILUSION DE LA PARRA
(Boticario de la Parra x Quisquillosa II)

Beautiful, grey mare bred by the Parras of San Antonio.

Ilusion was sired by the 1994 IALHA National Champion Stallion, Boticario de la Parra, out of an imported black andalusian mare bred by Francisco (Paco) Lazo Diaz.

Ilusion has powerful, straight, dressage movement with spanish lift. Ilusion is an intelligent, alpha mare. She is also a terrific riding horse when not in foal. Excellent dam producing incredible performance movement. Revised.
Thank you, Luz Maritza!

ESPERANZA KG
(Certero 3/V x Dichosa de la Parra)

Esperanza will be black bay like her dam. She is a powerful mover like her parents. This filly is a real performance prospect with her father's happy personality and her mother's extended gaits. Foaled 5/05.

PRINCESSA KG
(Majorio II x Illusion de la Parra)

Last foal sired by Majorio II and full sister to Majo KG. Same spectacular movement as Majo KG and same charisma in a filly.

Princessa is now at home with Karen, Jim and Lauren Sheperd in Okemos, Michigan. Congratulations to the Sheperds!
