BIG MOVEMENT! This incredible performance and stallion prospect will remain bay. Legao has a powerful backend and straight moving front end with lift and extension. He is capable of excelling in any performance discipline.

Legao has favorito XX (by Poseido V) bloodlines top and bottom and 100% Francisco Lazo Diaz breeding lines (hence the name) and color (including black!) in his pedigree. For more photos, see Foals.

Congratulations to Donna Hilgersom of Fort St. John, British Columbia. Legado Is Donna's foundation Andalusian stallion and he is standing at stud. Contact Donna via e-mail at (250) 827-3381 or via e-mail at hbar5ent@uniserve.com.

SARITA KG - TB
(Majorio II x Downtime Bargain)

Congratulations to Laurie Bailey of Andover, Maine. Laurie is competing and winning!

Avalon Farms' first Thoroughbred cross, this filly is dynamite! Her sire is the beautiful grey stallion, Majorio II.

Sarita has excellent sloping shoulder lines and powerful backend.

Sarita will be trained for dressage competition.

INDEPENDENCIA KG
(Favorito AP x Dichosa)
Born July 4, 1999

Bay filly with multiple dressage champion Favorito de la Parra out of a Dejado mare.

Congratulations to Barbara Skan Overbey of Barrington, Illinois.

Independencia "Mara", as she is now called, has passed revision. She is being trained for dressage competition. Her trainers have been very pleased by her gaits and willingness.

IANA G
(Entendido XXIII x Hermosa)

Bay 2002 mare. Iana was the 2004 IALHA National Champion PSP 2 year old filly (halter). Her sire, Entendido, was imported by a 10 year old from Paco Lazo's breeding farm in Spain. Iana'sdam was the daughter of the black multi-National Champ stallion, Despierto.

IIana stands about 15.2h. She is only 5 years old at this time, so she should grow at least an inch or two.  She is a big-bodied mare so she also appears to be taller than she is.

Iana has an excellent temperament and is quiet and cooperative.  Her attitude during training has been terrific. Iana also has outstanding movement - lots of reach in the front, overstride from behind.  She will make an excellent dressage horse.  Iana is also smooth to ride.  In a breed known for smooth gaited horses, Iana is exceptionally smooth.

Iana is now making her home with Elisabeth Garbeil of Michigan.

DICHA KG
(Favorito AP x Dichosa AP)

Full sister to Favorito KG. Powerful straight movement. Excellent dressage prospect. Bay, born June 2001. Inscribed.
Dicha is the 5 year old full sister to Favorito KG and Independencia KG. We have been so pleased with the Favorito and Dichosa offspring for many reasons. They embody what we believe to be the essential characteristics of the Andalusian breed: well balanced, lots of substance, exceptional and straight movement with impulsion from behind, a kind eye and intelligence. Favorito and Dichosa represent the combination of the Paco Lazo and Escalera bloodines. Dicha has a powerful trot and over-reaches from behind. Her full brother Favorito KG has beencompeted on the USDF circuit by Brad Cutshall and is now schooling with an eventing trainer. Dicha has a similar way of going as her full brother and when she fully matures will be an exceptional dressage mount herself. Dicha is a dark mahogany bay and is currently in the midst of a growth spurt. We expect her to mature at 15.3-16 hands.

Her bloodlines include her performance proven sire Favorito AP - the 1999 IALHA National Champion at 3rd Level who competed on the USDF circuit for three years as hoigh as the 4th level. He was top 10% All Breeds at 2nd level and top 12% All Breeds at 3rd level. Her dam is Dichosa AP - a direct Dejado daughter and was bred by the Parra family of San Antonio, Texas. Dichosa has massive bone and substance like her sire. She was a huge powerful and straight trot she passes on to all of her offspring. This mare is our best broodmare and all of her offspring are exceptional.

Dicha will be an excellent choice for a performance horse-especially dressage or as a foundation broodmare. She is Pure Spanish and inscribed by the Cria Caballar.

Owner: Jake Gray, Afinado Andalusians, Montana.

EL CORANADO KG
(Favorito de la Parra x Galeona HA)

 LEBRIJANA XI
(Poseido V x Cordobesa XII)

Congratulations to Susan Ambrose, Andalusians de Mythos of Colorado.

PRIMAVERA AP (In Memoriam)
(Primoroso II x Danzarina AP)

Elegant and sweet tempered, Primavera was the half-sister to Majorio II. She produced one foal with great movement and a wonderful disposition. That foal, a colt, was by Favorito de la Parra.

Primavera lives on through her son, El Consentido, who is owned by Raul Macias. El Consentido sired his first born, a purebred Andalusian colt in June 2004.

OLYMPIA KG
(Majorio II x Sunny Hill Jan)

Congratulations to Cindy Beebe of Metamora, Michigan.

GALEONA HA
(Galeon VII x Electra AP)

Congratulations to Christina Johnson and Victor Johnson, D.V.M. of Rolla, Missouri, Corinth Valley Andalusians.

ILLUMINOSA KG
(Certero 3/V x Ilusion de la Parra)

Sired by our black stallion, Certero 3/V, this young filly will be grey and extremely athletic. Flying lead changes and turns on the haunches are routine.

She has real extension and beautiful suspension in her movement. She also has her sire's friendly personality and constantly "talks" to her owners.

Imprinted at birth, she is easy to handle and will be tall with exceptional conformation. She already has a well developed neck and shoulders along with nice straight legs.

Her dame is a direct Botticario daughter and also carries color genes in her bloodlines. This filly is pure Spanish and a future dressage/performance star.

Congratulations to Vivian Insua of Los Angeles, California.

MARIA ELENA KG
(Portentoso V x Galeona HA)

Avalon Farms' first black Andalusian is a filly from Galeone, our bay mare, purchased in 1999.

Brave hearted and sweet tempered. With powerful hindquarters and the Andalusian's natural ability to collect and turn, Maria Elena exhibits the bullfighing agility so prized in Spain. She also has intelligence to match her athletic prowess.

IMaria, born in May, 1999, is Pure Spanish and one of the few Pure Paco Lazo horses in the country. Her breeding is heavily Terry. She is black with only a few white hairs on her forehead. Her coat will sunbleach if not protected in the summer.

Maria has the classic build movement of the working Spanish horse with a powerful backend and the natural ability to turn and collect. Maria has been CRIA approved.

Governor Eduardo Bours of the State of Sonora, Mexico is her owner.
